Little did we know how much of an impact we were making for CURE International, Kenya. The nurses wore skirts and polos for years as their nursing uniforms, without the budget to purchase scrubs. Then Patty and I were able to deliver them with new scrubs.
Their first reaction was: “This isn’t CURE International green….but purple is the color of royalty. And now we feel royal.”
Their faces were glowing, smiling ear-to-ear. some with tears in their eyes. They all exuded confidence and pure gratitude. It was such a pure moment in my life and I will never forget how much happiness I gained from giving them happiness.
We are so grateful that Figs was able to help us change so many lives through their Threads for Threads program.
