The other day, I received a photo from a family I nannied for. It was a picture of their daughter, dressed up as me for Halloween. When asked what she wanted to dress up as, she quickly answered: “I want to be just like Chandler when I grow up. She’s so smart and she helps people.” She wanted to dress up as nursing student ME! To say I was flattered is an understatement.

Whether we realize it or not, we are making a difference, even as nursing students. For me, I changed a little girl’s perspective on nursing. She now views all nurses and nursing students as heroes. You are not insignificant as a nursing student! You are making an impact for someone somewhere.

Side note, she nailed the costume!
